FOOD SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

Position Overview

Green Earth Organics is seeking a Food Safety & Compliance professional to support and strengthen our food safety systems, regulatory compliance and customer requirements across our fresh produce operation.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and support food safety programs, policies, SOPs and records.

· Monitor compliance with CFIA requirements and applicable food safety regulations.

· Support HACCP plans, preventive controls, GMPs, sanitation and allergen programs.

· Coordinate internal, customer and third-party audits and assist with corrective actions.

· Maintain traceability, recall readiness and supplier compliance documentation.

· Investigate food safety or compliance concerns and document corrective/preventive actions.

· Work closely with Quality, Production, Warehouse, Procurement and Management.

· Provide training and reinforce food safety practices throughout the facility.

· Monitor regulatory and customer-standard changes and help implement required updates.





Qualifications

· Previous food safety, compliance, QA or regulatory experience in food manufacturing or produce strongly preferred.

· Knowledge of CFIA requirements, HACCP, GMPs and preventive control programs.

· Audit experience and familiarity with recognized food safety certification programs are assets.

· Strong documentation, organization and communication skills.

· High level of integrity, attention to detail and follow-through.
