Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining high standards of food safety, and managing a team of culinary and service staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality management.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports
- Establish work schedules

Skills

- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within various restaurant settings such as quick service, casual dining, fine dining,



or hotel environments
- Solid leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including staffing, training & development, budgeting, and inventory control
- Effective communication skills for team management and staff training purposes
- Familiarity with hospitality management principles including shift management and restaurant operations
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry enhances ability to oversee kitchen activities effectively
