The Opportunity
We are building a residential HVAC company in the GTA with a simple goal: deliver outstanding workmanship, honest advice, and a level of customer service that earns lifelong clients.
We are looking for an experienced HVAC technician who wants more than another service job. This is an opportunity to become a key operating partner in the business, lead field operations, help build a high-performing team, and participate in the company's profits.
The partnership will combine complementary strengths. You will lead the field side of the business, while your partner manages office operations, including accounting, phones, scheduling, pricing, administration, and other business functions.
Your Role
As our Founding HVAC Technician and Field Operations Partner, you will initially work directly in the field while helping establish the standards, systems, and culture that will guide the company as it grows.
Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential HVAC equipment
Installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, water heaters, and related equipment
Delivering consistently high-quality workmanship
Providing homeowners with explicit, honest recommendations
Creating an excellent customer experience from arrival through job completion
Taking ownership of field quality, safety, and efficiency
Helping develop installation and service procedures
Training, supervising, and leading future technicians and installers
Advising on tools, equipment, vehicles, suppliers, and field operations
Working closely with your business partner on growth plans and operational decisions
Protecting and strengthening the company's reputation in every customer interaction
Who We Are Looking For The right person is both an excellent technician and an entrepreneurial operator. You take pride in your work, communicate well with homeowners, and are excited by the opportunity to help build a business rather than simply fill a position.
Significant residential HVAC service and installation experience
Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
Experience with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related residential systems The required Ontario trade qualifications, licences, and certifications for the work performed A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record A strong commitment to safety, code compliance, and quality
Excellent customer service and communication skills The ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
Leadership potential and an interest in developing a field team A practical, organized, and solutions-oriented mindset
Integrity, reliability, and a genuine sense of ownership
Experience supervising technicians, quoting work, managing jobs, or operating an HVAC business is an asset.
What This Opportunity Offers A meaningful role in building a GTA residential HVAC company from the ground up
Significant influence over field operations,
hiring, training, and company standards A partner who will own the administrative and office side of the business
Competitive compensation for field work
Participation in profit sharing The opportunity to grow from hands-on technician into the leader of the company's field organization
Long-term upside tied to the success of the business The precise compensation, profit-sharing structure, responsibilities, and path toward a deeper ownership position will be discussed openly with qualified candidates.
What Success Looks Like
You will be the person customers trust and field employees look to for leadership. Your work will set the company's standard for technical quality, professionalism, cleanliness, communication, and care.
As the business grows, your role should evolve from completing most jobs personally to leading and developing a team that consistently delivers those same standards.
