Hey, my name’s Joe. I run Shorebound Media, a video production company based in Flamborough, Ontario. We make brand videos and short-form content for local businesses (restaurants, trades, landscaping, auto) and a growing list of action-sports clients: a wake-sports school in Muskoka, a BMX park, mountain biking. I’ve grown past what one person can shoot, so I’m looking for a reliable freelance videographer to run shoots with me and, soon, without me.

You’d shoot half-day and full-day client sessions from a shot list and brief I’ve already built: interview setups, b-roll, food and product, the occasional drone shot. You’d talk to business owners on set like a pro, keep the day on schedule, and hand back organized footage. The work is steady and paid per project, not hourly. It isn’t full-time yet; it’s dependable paid shoots from one source, growing month over month. We start with one paid trial shoot so we both know it’s a fit.

Qualifications

- Solid camera fundamentals: exposure, focus, composition, movement
- Clean audio: lav and shotgun setups for interviews
- Comfortable lighting a simple interview and shooting handheld or gimbal b-roll
- Own car and licence, within about 45 minutes of Hamilton




- Weekday availability (most client shoots are Monday to Friday)
- A reel or portfolio that shows real client or personal work
- Independent contractor status (you invoice us; we pay by e-transfer)

Skills / highlights

- Self-directed: you can take a shot list and own it
- Professional and warm with clients on set
- Organized footage handoff (labelled cards, backed up same day)
- Nice to have: your own camera kit (it raises your rate), Transport Canada drone certificate, action-sports or outdoor shooting experience, basic editing

Pay

Per project. Half-day shoot $200 to $225, full day $400 to $450, depending on whether you bring your own kit. Mileage paid on out-of-town jobs. Paid 50% when the client’s deposit lands and 50% on their final payment. Paid trial shoot: $150 flat.
