Since 1988, Schooners Pub has been the beating heart of our SW neighborhood—a classic, high-energy pub where regulars feel like family and newcomers instantly feel at home. We are looking for an outgoing, proactive, and relationship-driven Front of House Manager who thrives in a lively environment and knows how to lead a team by example.

What You’ll Do

As our Front of House Manager you’ll be the face of Schooners on the floor, driving the room's energy and ensuring smooth operations every shift.

- Own the Floor & Build Relationships: Be a presence on the floor during peak hours. Connect with our loyal regulars, welcome new guests, and ensure every customer leaves happy.
- Lead, Hire & Train: Recruit, onboard, and continuously develop our serving and bartending staff. Set clear expectations and coach the team toward service excellence.
- Maintain a Winning Culture: Foster a fair, respectful, and high-energy working environment where staff feel supported and motivated.
- Manage Scheduling & Labour:



Oversee staff schedules and manage labour costs effectively to match business volume without compromising service quality.
- Bridge Front & Back of House: Partner closely with our kitchen leadership to maintain seamless communication, fast ticket times, and a unified team atmosphere.
- Monitor Daily Operations for cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health regulations
- Handle Cash Transactions accurately and reconcile cash drawers

What We’re Looking For

- Personality First: A naturally outgoing, positive, and approachable leader who leads with warmth and integrity.
- Experienced Leader: Prior management or supervisory experience in a high-volume pub, bar, or casual dining restaurant.
- Floor-Focused: Someone who thrives in a fast-paced workplace and isn't afraid to step in and help the team when it gets busy.
- Strong Communicator: Ability to handle guest feedback with grace and keep staff informed, engaged, and organized.
- Business-Minded: Understanding of shift management, labour controls, and scheduling dynamics.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
