Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Fulfillment & Distribution Manager to lead our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient order processing, inventory management, and distribution. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a dynamic team, implement process improvements, and optimize supply chain workflows to meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong leadership skills, this position is perfect for you!
What you do:
- Lead fulfillment, inventory, receiving, shipping and local delivery, with two Supervisors and a team of warehouse staff and drivers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Earn the team’s trust, then lead the changes the operation needs: clear process, clear expectations, and consistent follow-through.
- Build a strong team culture by managing performance, attendance and conduct fairly and consistently, and recognizing people who deliver. Develop and build career path for your Supervisors and warehouse team.
- Manage NetSuite inventory to ensure accuracy, through cycle counts, receiving discipline and root-cause fixes. Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as SAP or AS400.
- Own the systems that run the operation: NetSuite inventory and fulfillment, Samsara fleet management, and scanning, shipping and delivery apps.
- Hit delivery commitments,
including same-day hospital and palliative orders and our 2-day promise on incontinence orders, and run dispatch and fleet effectively.
- Keep our fleet safe, maintained and compliant, with routes that run efficiently and drivers who drive safely.
- Bring down cost per order and freight cost through smarter carrier mix, packaging and routing.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by conducting safety audits; manage heavy lifting protocols and forklift operations.
- Analyze data related to order fulfillment metrics; prepare reports on productivity, accuracy, and process improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years leading warehouse, fulfillment or distribution operations, including managing supervisors
- Real experience with inventory control management: cycle counting, bin logic, adjustment investigation and root-cause analysis
- A track record of leading frontline teams through significant change, with results that lasted
- A direct, fair and consistent leadership style, and comfort with hard conversations and documented performance management
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making purposes including strong ERP and WMS knowledge; NetSuite strongly preferred
- Comfort with numbers: you can build and act on cost-per-order and cost-per-stop analysis
- Dispatch or fleet management experience (Samsara or similar) is an asset
- A diploma or degree in supply chain, operations or logistics, or equivalent experience
- Valid Class 5 licence, clean driver’s abstract and criminal record check; forklift certification and First Aid preferred
- Ability to be active on the warehouse floor, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows OS, ERP systems (SAP or AS400), and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is an asset.
- Valid forklift certification; experience with heavy lifting equipment an asset.
- Physical capability for prolonged standing, walking, heavy lifting, and manual handling as needed.
