We're looking for an Intermediate HVAC Technician who brings practical field experience, sound technical judgment and a genuine interest in continuing to develop their skills.

This opportunity is for someone who can confidently handle routine commercial HVAC service work, recognizes when additional technical support is needed and wants to build toward greater responsibility.

- Typical Monday-to-Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Role As an Intermediate HVAC Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment while contributing to the quality and reliability of our field service.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

- Independently diagnose common issues with commercial gas-fired HVAC equipment, including boilers, furnaces and rooftop units.
- Perform routine repairs, including replacement of gas valves, thermocouples, pressure switches, flame sensors and ignition components.
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, manometers and combustion analyzers.
- Work alongside senior technicians on advanced troubleshooting and complex repairs.

Preventative Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including boilers, rooftop units and unit heaters.




- Identify developing equipment concerns and communicate findings.
- Complete work with attention to safety, quality and equipment reliability.

Installation & Commissioning
- Assist with gas-fired equipment installations under senior technician supervision.
- Support piping, venting and equipment installation in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Participate in equipment startup and commissioning, including combustion analysis and gas pressure checks, with appropriate guidance.

Teamwork & Mentorship
- Collaborate with senior and junior technicians to complete work safely and efficiently.
- Provide hands-on training or mentorship to junior technicians when appropriate to your experience and the assignment.
- Guide junior technicians through routine tasks when assigned.
- Recognize when complex technical decisions or project concerns require senior-level support.

Client Communication & Documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients about equipment concerns, completed work and relevant recommendations.
- Maintain accurate service notes, documentation and timesheets.
- Coordinate with Operations regarding scheduling, materials and job requirements.
- Take ownership of assigned work while respecting project scope and established procedures.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- G2 Gas Technician certification, minimum.
- Ozone Depletion Prevention certificate.
- Valid driver's licence.
- High school diploma or relevant vocational/trade school education.
- Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing HVAC equipment.

Preferred Experience & Qualities
- 4–7 years of relevant HVAC field experience.
- Commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve routine gas-fired equipment issues.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and sound technical judgment.
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- Clear communication, accountability and willingness to support others.




- Refrigeration experience and certification are assets, not requirements.
