Gallery Assistant (Burnaby, BC)

A local art rental house is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Gallery Assistant to join our team.

This is a hands-on role that involves helping with the day-to-day operation of the gallery and providing friendly, professional customer service. No previous qualifications or specific experience are required—we’re looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

- Cleaning and maintaining the gallery
- Packing and unpacking artwork carefully and safely
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Providing superior customer service and assisting visitors
- Gardening and general upkeep of the property
- Helping with occasional general gallery tasks as needed

Schedule
- Monday and Wednesday
- Occasional Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation $22 per hour

Qualifications





No required qualifications or previous experience. We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and professional
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a group
- Able to handle artwork carefully
- Willing to help with a variety of tasks

Preferences
- Have a passion for (or an eagerness to learn about) art.
- A valid BC driver's license (Class 7 is okay)
- Fluency in verbal/written English
