Job Overview

Ironhorse Rail is looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to assist with occasional outdoor maintenance and site-related tasks. This is a casual, on-call position ideal for someone looking to earn extra income without committing to a regular weekly schedule.

Work is assigned as needed, depending on weather conditions, including rainfall and snowfall. You could be called in once a month or several times a week, depending on conditions and workload.

The biggest perk: We guarantee a minimum of four hours of pay every time you are called in to work, even if the task takes only 1 hour to complete. Any work beyond the four-hour minimum is paid normally based on the hours worked.

Responsibilities

- Perform outdoor maintenance and site-related tasks as required.
- Attend job sites when called in, within the agreed working day.
- Work independently and follow site-specific instructions.
- Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.
- Maintain communication with management regarding availability and completed work.

Requirements
- Reliability is essential. When called in, you must be able to attend the job site within the working day.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the work location.
- Ability to work alone and manage tasks independently.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures.




- Ability to follow safety procedures and site instructions.
- Previous outdoor maintenance or industrial site experience is an asset but not required.

Compensation & Perks
- Four-hour minimum pay per call-out, regardless of how quickly the task is completed.

Work Environment
