- Plan and run jobs from start to finish, including organizing tools and materials, coordinating tasks, and ensuring work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Work on showers, walls, doors, and various other glass installations, including hanging doors and completing detailed finishing work.
- Travel to multiple job sites, primarily in downtown and surrounding areas, and arrive on time ready to work each day.
- Adapt to different commercial and retail environments, working efficiently in occupied or active spaces while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Follow all safety procedures and site regulations, including working at heights when required and after appropriate training.
- Collaborate with other employees on-site, either meeting directly at job sites or carpooling with colleagues as needed.
- Work flexible hours, including occasional extended days and weekends, to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.

Essential Skills

- 3+ years of glazing or interior glass installation experience, or a strong finish carpentry background with relevant transferable skills.
- Proficiency in installing interior glass systems such as doors, partitions, railings, and back-painted glass.

- Solid reliability and punctuality, with the ability to report to various job sites on time across the GTA.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and safety.

- Experience coordinating logistics for multiple job sites within a large urban area.
- Exposure to a variety of glass types and installation methods across different project types.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate with team members and site personnel.

Why Work Here?

You will join a growing operation with a steady pipeline of interior commercial and retail projects across the GTA, offering the opportunity to quickly build up your hours and potentially move into a permanent, full-time role. The company supports long-term career growth by providing additional training, including Working at Heights, for team members who perform well and show commitment. Schedules start with 23 days per week and can ramp up quickly, giving you flexibility while still offering the potential for stable, ongoing work. You will work with a supportive team that aims to place you on projects closer to your home whenever possible, helping you reduce commute time and maintain a healthier work-life balance.

Work Environment

Work takes place at multiple job sites across the Greater Toronto Area, primarily in downtown and other commercial locations. Assignments focus on interior, indoor work at commercial spots, avoiding manufacturing settings. The company aims to assign projects that are closer to each employees home when possible. Team members either meet directly at the job site or travel with another employee, with a central headquarters located in North York for coordination.

Typical workdays start around 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. and run until approximately 4:30 p.m., with the possibility of longer days and occasional weekend work depending on project needs. The role follows a day-shift schedule, beginning with 23 days per week and the potential to transition to full-time quickly as workload increases. You will regularly use a variety of hand and power tools on active commercial sites, so punctuality, reliability, and adherence to site safety requirements are essential.
