Help shape a future where more children feel understood, supported and ready to thrive!
For many families, finding the right support begins after things have become overwhelming. At Willow Tree, we believe there’s an opportunity to change that story: to reach children earlier, build on their strengths and make mental wellness something they grow up learning, so they have the skills they need to navigate challenges in the future!
We specialize in supporting neurodivergent children and youth, helping them understand how their minds work, navigate big emotions, build friendships and develop confidence in who they are. Through individual services, groups, camps and workshops, we create opportunities to practise these skills, experience belonging and build relationships that help them grow. For families, that means having a team who understands their child and works alongside them.
We’ve built something meaningful, and we know there are more families who could benefit from it. Our next chapter is about reaching them: helping parents discover what’s possible, connecting with schools and community partners, and bringing proactive, preventative support into more children’s lives.
That’s the opportunity behind this role. We’re looking for a natural connector, compelling storyteller and someone with the initiative to turn a conversation into a partnership and an idea into a campaign that reaches the right family. You’ll work directly with our Founder to tell Willow Tree’s story and help write its next chapter, with room to grow into a larger leadership role as our reach and impact expand.
Working directly with the Founder, your core focus will be to attract new clients, fill available spaces in our group programs, increase uptake of individual services and build partnerships that generate ongoing referrals and new service opportunities. You’ll lead the marketing and outreach that turn awareness into inquiries, working closely with Intake to convert interest into enrolment.
What You’ll Lead
Marketing & Enrolment
- Plan and deliver campaigns for individual services, groups, camps and workshops, aligned with enrolment timelines and available capacity.
- Create compelling content and manage social media, email marketing and approved paid advertising.
- Improve website pages and registration pathways so families can understand our services and take the next step.
- Coordinate clinical input to ensure messaging reflects our services, values and approach accurately.
School & Community Partnerships
- Build relationships with schools,
healthcare providers, community organizations and referral partners through outreach, meetings and consistent follow-up.
- Develop opportunities for workshops, school-based services, community programs and service contracts.
- Prepare proposals with leadership, confirming pricing, capacity and delivery requirements before commitments are made.
- Represent Willow Tree at relevant community events and partner meetings.
Growth Strategy & Results
- Maintain a focused marketing and outreach plan, calendar and CRM with clear priorities, timelines and next steps.
- Track qualified inquiries, referrals, campaign results, enrolments, partnership revenue and marketing spending.
- Use data and feedback to improve results and prioritize opportunities.
- Coordinate with Intake and Clinical on service availability and handoffs. Intake owns individual family consultations, enrolment follow-up and ongoing service coordination.
What You Bring
- Relevant experience: At least three years in marketing, communications, business development, sales or partnerships, with hands-on experience leading campaigns and building partnerships.
- Education: A diploma or degree in marketing, business or related field.
- Communication and connection: You listen well, build trust and confidently engage families, professionals and community leaders.
- Independence and Initiative: you must be able to work efficiently independently, and take initiative towards campaigns.
- Storytelling and persuasion: Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to make services relatable and motivate action without overpromising.
- Business development: Confidence initiating contact, presenting opportunities and following through, with examples of generating inquiries, increasing enrolment or sales, or securing partnerships.
- Ownership and judgment: You organize your work, solve problems and prioritize activities based on impact, resources and business goals.
- Digital marketing skills: Experience with websites, email, social media, advertising and analytics. Familiarity with Squarespace, Canva, Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and CRMs are valuable; comparable tools and transferable skills are welcome.
- Effective AI use: Confidence and proficiency using AI for research, planning, content and efficiency is an asset.
- Education or equivalent experience: Experience in children’s services, mental health, healthcare or education is an asset.
Your First 90 Days & Team Support Initial priorities include our winter enrolment campaign, email marketing, consistent social media,
key website improvements and structured partner outreach.
You’ll have support from the Founder and designated staff for content contributions, administrative tasks and follow-through. Content batching, scheduling and automation will help maintain consistent marketing while creating time for relationship-building. Together, we’ll set realistic priorities and targets within your hours and budget, with a 90-day progress review. Centre visits, community meetings and occasional evenings will form part of the agreed schedule.
Build Something Meaningful. Grow Alongside It.
Your contribution will directly support Willow Tree’s growth and help more families access care. Performance-based bonus opportunities will have targets, eligibility and payment terms established in writing.
As the company expands and sustained results support increased hours, this role can grow into full-time employment. There is also potential for broader leadership responsibility across growth strategy, budgets and a future team, with compensation and scope developing alongside your contribution and business capacity.
If you’re excited to connect people, tell a meaningful story and help build a more proactive approach to children’s mental wellness, we’d love to hear from you.
