Job Overview:
This job starts immediately.
We are a small group of enthusiastic and friendly entrepreneurs seeking a current member who will help with sales at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market in downtown Halifax on Saturdays, 7am - 2pm. Candidates should be available every Saturday morning with very few exceptions in each calendar year.
We especially welcome applications from minority groups, women, recent immigrants, and persons with disabilities.
There may be opportunities to participate in production, packaging or promotional/marketing events in the future.
Duties:
- Sell cheese at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market on Saturday mornings
Requirements:
- A cell phone that can be used for processing payments, accessing our Google Drive and receiving and sending text messages in case of emergency
- Attention to detail and strict adherence to food safety protocols
- Excellent customer service
Assets:
- Some knowledge of cheese and how to speak about its different styles
- Experience in sales
