Job Summary

We’re looking for a hands on Head Chef to lead a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. This role is for someone who thrives under pressure, leads from the front, and takes full ownership of kitchen performance, from food quality to labour and cost control.

You’ll be responsible for building a strong team environment, maintaining consistency at scale, and driving efficiency during peak service.

Responsibilities

- Lead and maintain a high performing kitchen team in a fast paced, high volume workplace
- Own daily service execution, ensuring fast ticket times without compromising quality
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards across all operations
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls to meet financial targets
- Train and hold staff accountable to performance standards
- Collaborate with management and ownership on scheduling, labour targets, and operational improvements
- Manage large restaurant buyouts and special event, in-house catering menus
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined kitchen environment




- Drive consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution across all services

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high volume restaurant
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage and motivate a team under pressure
- Deep understanding of kitchen systems, prep structure, and service flow
- Experience managing food cost, labour, and inventory controls
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stay organized and decisive during peak service periods
- Experience in menu development is an asset, but execution and consistency are priority

Pay: $72,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
