Key Responsibilities

- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and Agtek.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, bid summaries, and proposals.
- Prepare change order estimates in collaboration with project teams.
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Analyze labour, equipment, material, and production costs.
- Identify tender risks, opportunities, and potential cost impacts.
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project walkthroughs.
- Coordinate with operations teams throughout the estimating process.
- Manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
- Collaborate with senior estimators and operations teams on larger bids.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in construction estimating is an asset; no minimum experience requirement.
- Knowledge of earthworks, underground utilities, grading, and site development.




- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Robust attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Agtek, Excel, or similar estimating tools is an asset.
- Construction industry experience, a Technology Diploma, or an Engineering Degree is considered an asset.
