Civil North Consulting Ltd. has an opening for a Heavy-Duty Mechanic position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Follow proper Disassembly and Assembly procedures
- Remove and Install components to Manufactures Specifications
- Follow Proper Lifting and Rigging Practices
- Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair large mobile mining equipment.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and Preventative Maintenance services.
- Clearly write reports, cross overs and daily time detailing work performed and problems found.
- Have a Positive Attitude
- Have a level of professionalism, organization, safety and skills set the meets or exceeds industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

- 4+ years Heavy Duty and/or Diesel Engine Mechanic experience
- Advanced knowledge of all heavy-duty equipment
- Advanced knowledge of all brands of heavy-duty equipment (Komatsu, John Deere, Hyundai, Doosan, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge in gravel truck and pup maintenance as well as brand experience. (Kenworth, Western Star, Peterbilt, Mack, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform regular maintenance and repairs




- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all company pick ups
- Fill out daily progress reports and timecard
- Keep meticulous records of all repairs and maintenance completed or required.
- Provide expert knowledge and advise to operators and CNC staff
- Experience in a construction environment or in a similar role
- Ability to make service calls to remote project sites as needed
- Possess welding ticket or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Familiar with construction terms and practices
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Ability to understand and effectively execute verbal and written directions
- Adheres to company Health, Safety, & Environmental reporting and standard assessments
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Mechanical: 4 years (Preferred)
- Journeyman (Preferred)

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
