Dominion's Calgary team sells residential solar in person, face to face with homeowners across the city. Pay follows production, and the people running the team today all got their start as reps.

READ THIS FIRST: CALGARY, FULL-TIME, IN THE FIELD The role is full time and based in Calgary. You'll spend your working day with customers in their own neighbourhoods.

Each rep gets a Calgary territory and the playbook the team already runs on: talk tracks and a tracking system, plus daily coaching from someone who has done the job. Your part is sitting down with homeowners, showing them how solar would work on their house, and getting the agreement signed. You're paid a commission on each residential solar installation you sell.

It pays out every week and isn't capped. There is no fixed base salary; your earnings depend entirely on your sales results. Reps who meet expectations month after month generally make CA$80,000 to CA$100,000 a year, and the top of the board makes more.

A NORMAL WEEK

Training and roleplay fill the mornings. Selling happens in the afternoons and evenings, since that's when homeowners are around. You're paired with a mentor, and both of your numbers go up on the same board.



Competitions between our two markets and incentive trips run through the year.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll fit if you're competitive and track your own numbers without anyone asking. Hearing no shouldn't throw off your next conversation, and you'd rather be paid for output than for hours. Sales experience helps, but plenty of our reps had none when they started. We look for drive and coachability and teach the rest. If you're after something comfortable, this probably isn't it.

GETTING PROMOTED

There are five levels: Rep, Team Lead, Assistant Manager, Sales Manager, Regional Manager. The requirements for each one are written down, and anyone who meets them moves up, whether they've been here three months or three years.
