Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, 2:45 PM–5:45 PM The Homework Program Assistant supports children with their homework while contributing to their French language development, social skills, confidence, and overall well-being. The position involves both homework support and active participation in the program’s activity sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized support to students to help them understand instructions, complete homework assignments, and develop positive learning habits.
- Actively participate in and assist with program activities and group sessions, engaging with students and helping facilitate a positive and inclusive environment.
- Encourage students to participate in activities, interact positively with others, and develop their social skills, confidence, and independence.
- Support students in strengthening their French language comprehension and communication skills, using French primarily when interacting with students.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator and other Program Assistants to ensure students’ individual needs are supported.




- Create and maintain a calm, focused, and non-distracting environment that is conducive to learning and participation.
- Engage positively with students throughout the program and provide encouragement, guidance, and appropriate support.
- Communicate relevant student needs, challenges, or observations to the Program Coordinator.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace, including encouraging students to put away materials and belongings after activities.
- Contribute to a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that promotes students’ overall positive well-being.
- On an exceptional basis, assist with PCP events or special activities taking place outside of the regular program schedule. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
