PEI Atlantic Baptist Homes – Centennial Court is a 116 bed not for profit nursing home located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We are currently hiring casual, part time Hospitality positions - Laundry Attendants and Housekeeping Attendants to join our team.

Our laundry and housekeeping teams play an important role in ensuring the home remains clean, safe and comfortable for residents, staff and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Laundry Attendant:

- Collect, sort, wash, dry and fold linens, towels and residents’ clothing.
- Ensure clean laundry is properly stored and delivered to designated areas.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and report equipment concerns.
- Maintain clean and organized laundry areas.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures when handling clean and soiled laundry.
- Handle residents’ personal clothing with care and respect.

Housekeeping Attendant:

- Clean and sanitize residents’ rooms, washrooms, common areas and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain floors.




- Collect and dispose of waste according to established procedures.
- Replenish housekeeping supplies and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

- Grade 12 education or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in a healthcare or long term care setting.
- Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning and safety procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to perform assigned duties, including standing, bending, lifting and pushing carts.
- Dependable, respectful and committed to residents’ comfort, privacy and dignity.

Salary: Based on the Collective Agreement.

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Housekeeping : 1 year (preferred)
