Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this vital role, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere by greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they walk through our doors.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, making them feel welcome and appreciated
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using our POS system.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize the flow of service and reduce wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and reservations
- Assist guests with special requests or seating preferences to enhance their dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a professional appearance
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, food service, or hospitality is preferred
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous but not required
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
