Overview

Sunray Group is seeking an energetic and results-driven Hotel General Manager to lead our brand-new Spark by Hilton Owen Sound property. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and operational excellence.

As the leader of the property, you will be responsible for building and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of service excellence, and maintaining Hilton brand standards. Your leadership will play a key role in establishing the hotel's reputation within the community while driving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and business success.

Responsibilities

- Provide overall leadership and direction for all hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Guest Services.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and service delivery.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, improve profitability, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate team members to build a strong, customer-focused culture.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement action plans to improve guest satisfaction scores and operational results.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution and positive outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all Hilton brand standards, company policies, health and safety regulations, and local legislative requirements.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and key stakeholders to support hotel growth and visibility.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that encourages employee development and retention.

Qualifications & Requirements





- Minimum 3-5 years of hotel leadership or management experience, preferably as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Department Head.
- Proven track record of driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational performance.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, revenue management, and guest services.
- Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and expense management.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong customer service and guest relations experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems; Hilton PEP PMS experience is considered a strong asset.
- Previous Hilton brand experience is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
