Maintenance Manager

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys leading a team, solving problems, and keeping a property running at its best?

DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North is looking for a Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our hotel.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead and support the Maintenance team.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and daily repairs throughout the hotel.
- Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and building systems.
- Respond to guest and team member maintenance concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Prioritize maintenance requests based on safety, guest impact, and operational needs.
- Coordinate outside contractors and service providers.
- Ensure the hotel meets all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and expenses.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work closely with hotel leadership and all departments to ensure a safe and well-maintained property.
- Support the hotel’s sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous hotel maintenance experience is required, or significant experience in a role that involved regular guest/customer interaction.




- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualified and guest-focused approach.
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns and unexpected situations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple requests.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and maintaining high standards.
