Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Houseperson, where your energy, reliability, and attention to detail will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. In this important role, you will support both our Housekeeping and Maintenance departments while helping maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the hotel.

You will be responsible for maintaining public areas, guest corridors, back-of-house spaces, and assisting Room Attendants with linens, supplies, and other daily needs. You will also provide general support to the Maintenance team with basic upkeep, room setups, furniture moving, minor repairs, and other tasks as directed. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and working in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in public areas such as the lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevators, entrances, restrooms, and other common areas.
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and garbage removal.
- Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other housekeeping items throughout the hotel.
- Stock and organize linen rooms, housekeeping storage areas, and supply areas.
- Collect and transport soiled linens and garbage from guest floors and housekeeping areas.
- Respond to guest requests for additional towels, bedding, toiletries, and other room supplies in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure guest corridors and common areas remain free of debris, hazards, and obstructions.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms, event spaces, furniture, and hotel equipment as required.
- Assist the Maintenance team with general tasks and projects as directed.
- Provide support with basic repairs, replacing light bulbs, moving furniture, minor touch-ups, preventative maintenance tasks,



and other general upkeep where appropriate.
- Report maintenance concerns, property damage, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly to management.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects and other operational duties as required.
- Follow all hotel safety, security, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Desk, and other departments to support smooth hotel operations.

Requirements

- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, general labour, or maintenance is preferred; hotel experience is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of tools, minor repairs, or general maintenance is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, cleaning supplies, and safe handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness, safety, and hotel upkeep.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move housekeeping supplies, linens, furniture, and equipment when required.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple hotel departments.
- Professional and courteous attitude when working in guest-facing areas.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
