Job Summary

DR.HEATPUMPS LTD is looking for an energetic, motivated, and customer-focused HVAC Sales Representative to join our growing team.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for meeting with residential customers, understanding their heating and cooling needs, recommending suitable heat pump and air conditioning systems, preparing estimates, following up with leads, and helping customers through the sales process from the initial consultation to the completed sale.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and is motivated by achieving sales goals.

This position offers a competitive base pay plus commission.

Responsibilities

- Respond to incoming customer inquiries and sales leads.
- Meet with customers at their homes to understand their heating and cooling requirements.
- Assess basic home requirements and discuss suitable heat pump and air conditioning options.
- Explain different systems, features, benefits, capacities, and available options to customers.
- Recommend suitable equipment based on the customer's home, comfort requirements, and budget.
- Prepare professional estimates and quotations.
- Follow up with customers after providing estimates.
- Build strong relationships with customers and maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
- Answer customer questions and provide clear and accurate information.
- Follow up on leads and work toward closing sales.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information.
- Coordinate with the installation team after a sale to ensure the project is properly communicated and scheduled.
- Stay informed about heat pump and air conditioning products, rebates, financing options, and industry developments.




- Represent DR.HEATPUMPS LTD professionally when dealing with customers and homeowners.
- Develop new sales opportunities through referrals, networking, customer follow-ups, and other sales activities.

Qualifications
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Experience in HVAC, heat pumps, air conditioning, construction, home improvement, or a related industry is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and comfortable speaking with homeowners.
- Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain technical products in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer leads and follow-ups.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with email and estimating software.
- Willingness to learn about heat pumps, air conditioning systems, and HVAC technology.

- Valid driver's licence.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to customer homes throughout Halifax, HRM, and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Comfortable working flexible hours when required to accommodate customer appointments.
- Strong English communication skills.

Compensation

Base Pay + Commission





We offer a competitive base salary/hourly wage along with a commission-based compensation structure.
