Description The Sawmill Division is seeking to fill a part-time Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) position at the Veneer Sawmill in Saint-Leonard, NB. We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork.

Salaries between $27.28 and $37.67 + production bonus up to $190/week and a distance premium with an average of $17/day

(Salaries are based on $25.98 and $35.88 + 5% of the hours worked)

Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery, and install industrial mechanical equipment in a production environment
- Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, and conduct preventive maintenance on machines
- Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture equipment and perform modifications as needed




- Monitor daily maintenance activities and respond to emergency situations promptly
- Repair or replace components such as chains, conveyor belts, gearboxes, hydraulics systems, and perform welding and cutting tasks

Qualifications

- Diploma in Industrial Mechanics (Block 3 or higher required)
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Weldind certification is considered an asset
- Must meet J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) selection criteria
