Instructional Assistant for English

Location: Private elementary school located in Cote Saint Luc

JPPS elementary school is seeking Instructional Assistants for English and Math for the 2026-2027 school year. The instructional assistant will work cooperatively with the teacher to allow for differentiation in the classroom in order to meet students' diverse learning needs. The instructional assistant will also work collaboratively with the teacher to deliver developmentally appropriate instruction that addresses students' academic, social-emotional and transition needs.

Job Type: Part-time/Full time

This is a great opportunity for students currently pursuing their degrees or for graduates. The hours are flexible and can be full time or part time.

Skills/Qualities

- Excellent reading, writing and oral skills in the appropriate language
- Autonomous self-starter who is able to work collaboratively and effectively with the classroom teacher




- Ability to work with students at-risk as well as those who require more challenging instruction
- Respectful and professional comportment with all school and community stakeholders
- Energetic, positive, creative and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children
- Must be a team-player
- Experience working with elementary aged students is an asset
