Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join our Executive and Professional practice as a Summer Intern. This four-month paid internship offers a deep dive into the world of commercial underwriting.

You will

- Learn how to evaluate and underwrite risk while gaining exposure to: Directors and Officers Liability (D&O;), Errors & Omissions Liability (E&O;), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, Crime/Fidelity Insurance, and Cyber Insurance, and actuarial science.
- Gain exposure to the insurance lifecycle and the broader commercial market, along with utilizing data and actuarial tools and processes to support underwriting decision making.
- Collaborate with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in real-world projects that impact our customers and business.
- Collaborate with BHSI Interns across North America.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive underwriting team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.



Your work will directly contribute to protecting our clients’ assets and ensuring the profitability of our portfolio.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Interest in insurance, underwriting, data analytics or pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science).
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in math, statistics, probability and financial principles, good understanding of financial markets and analysis.
- Effective communicator and team player.
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

BHSI Offers:

The hourly range for this position is $21/hour - $24/hour. A candidates’ compensation is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This is not intended to be all-inclusive.
