Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of automotive equipment. This role requires a solid mechanical background, proficiency with hand and power tools, and electrical diagnosis. The automotive Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our operations across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance to gas and diesel engines, transmissions, rear ends, differentials, electrical/electronics, power systems, hydraulic systems, and other service work as required.
- Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to company policies and procedures
- Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections, diagnostics, estimates and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist with equipment assembly and installation projects
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications




- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status and maintenance needs

Skills

- Proven experience in Automotive repair
- Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting, and electrical diagnostics
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- CVIP License - not required but considered an asset

Fulltime, Flexible schedule. Job Type: Full-time

Experience:
- Heavy Duty Mechanical: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Red Seal (required)
