Great Service Starts With Great People.
At Instant Plumbing & Heating, being a great plumber is about more than knowing how to fix the problem.
It’s about quality workmanship, good judgment, clear communication, and leaving the customer confident that their home was taken care of properly.
We’re looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our residential service team in Calgary.
You’ll be someone who can confidently diagnose plumbing problems, recommend appropriate solutions, complete quality repairs and installations, and provide homeowners with a professional and positive service experience.
If you take pride in your trade, enjoy solving problems, value doing things properly, and want to be part of an established Calgary company, we’d like to meet you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Journeyman Plumber at Instant, you’ll provide residential plumbing service, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and installations throughout Calgary and surrounding communities.
You’ll manage your service calls professionally from start to finish — assessing the problem, explaining your findings and options to the homeowner, completing approved work, documenting the job, and making sure the customer is comfortable with the result.
You’ll also be part of a team that supports one another, shares knowledge and helps develop the next generation of tradespeople.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose and troubleshoot residential plumbing problems
Perform plumbing repairs, maintenance, replacements and installations
Service and install plumbing fixtures, equipment and related systems
Assess customers’ plumbing needs and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options
Clearly explain findings, options and recommendations to homeowners
Provide accurate information so customers can make informed decisions before work begins
Complete work safely, efficiently and according to applicable plumbing codes and company standards
Test completed work and ensure systems are operating properly before leaving the job
Maintain accurate job notes, photos and documentation using company systems
Maintain an organized, clean and properly stocked company vehicle
Properly care for company tools, equipment and materials
Maintain clean and safe work areas and protect customers’ homes while working
Work collaboratively with dispatch, office staff and other technicians
Support and mentor apprentices/helpers when working together
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Participate in the company’s on-call rotation
