Under close supervision, performs routine food service duties which require considerable physical effort and involve following prescribed work procedures. Representative duties include the operation of dishwashing machines, transporting heavy food supplies; cleaning of large kitchen appliances and work station. As required, provides assistance in the Food Production area, and also deliver/collect resident trays.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Loads, unloads and operates a dishwashing machine to ensure prompt, effective recycling of dishes and cutlery; strips serving trays; sorts dishes, glasses, cutlery; pre-rinse items; operates cleans dishwashing machine and monitors temperatures, soap levels and results; scrubs pots and pans,
reports any equipment problems; distributes clean dishes and glasses to designated areas.
- Performs general cleaning duties such as walk-in coolers, floors, walls and ceilings.
- Assists in moving supplies; unpacks goods and places in storage, and may requisition paper and soap supplies.
- May assist in preparation and weighing of vegetable and other bulk food items.
- Performs other duties as required, which may include the Food Production area and delivery/collection of resident trays.
Job Types: Part time, Casual Pay: $16.36 per hour
