Located in downtown Toronto, our new 223 room hotel will feature multiple restaurants, bars, a spa, and approximately 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. Join our opening culinary team and help create memorable dining and event experiences for our guests.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Stewarding leadership, the Steward supports a clean, safe and organized kitchen workplace. This role is responsible for dishwashing, sanitation and the proper care of kitchen equipment and service ware.

Key Responsibilities

· Wash, sort, polish and store dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.

· Maintain clean and sanitary dishwashing, kitchen, storage and back of house areas throughout each shift.

· Operate dishwashing equipment safely and report any equipment concerns promptly.

· Support the organization and storage of clean serviceware, smallwares and kitchen supplies.

· Assist with waste sorting, recycling, garbage removal and cleaning of waste areas.

· Follow all sanitation, chemical handling, WHMIS, health and safety and hotel procedures.

· Work collaboratively with the culinary and food and beverage teams to support efficient service and events.

Qualifications and Experience

· Previous stewarding, dishwashing, kitchen or hospitality experience is required.





· Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

· Ability to safely lift, carry and move kitchen equipment and supplies as required.

· Strong attention to cleanliness, organization and safe work practices.

· Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
