The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Landscape Apprentice (Crew Member) who enjoys being outdoors, works hard, and wants to build real skills in landscape construction. You’ll support the Crew Leader and Lead Hand on high-end projects, learn proper install standards, and grow your capabilities season over season.

This is not part of a formal apprenticeship program, but an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training and skill development alongside experienced leaders in their field.

Reports to: Crew Leader (with direction from Lead Hand as needed)

Works with: Crew, Project Manager, sub-trades

Responsibilities

- Review daily plan with the Crew Leader and support execution of the work
- Assist with installation of landscape features (patios, retaining walls, gardens, and other landscape elements)
- Load, unload, and transport tools and materials to job sites
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely (training provided as needed)
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and assist with end-of-day cleanup
- Follow company standards and safety procedures at all times
- Learn and develop skills in landscape construction and horticulture through hands-on work and coaching

Requirements

- Previous landscape experience is an asset
- Post-secondary education in a landscape-related field is an asset
- Additional relevant courses/certifications are an asset
- Valid G license and reliable transportation
