About the Company

Forge Recruitment is currently engaged in a search for a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant on behalf of a mid-sized Toronto-based law firm. This is an in-office position supporting a Partner and his team of four lawyers.

About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal administrative support, including:

- Communicating with court offices, clients, and counsel

- Transcribing letters and pleadings using SpeechExec

- Drafting and revising correspondence and pleadings

- Filing documents through OneKey and CaseLines

- Filing and saving documents through Worldox, with a transition to NetDocuments planned

- Updating and drafting documents through ACL

- Managing multiple files and ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met

What You Bring The successful candidate will have:

- A minimum of 3 years of Legal Assistant or Law Clerk experience, ideally within a litigation environment
- A Law Clerk or Paralegal diploma or certificate





- Proven ability to manage multiple files, competing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines with a high degree of organization

- Excellent attention to detail and robust organizational skills
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment

- Strong computer and technology skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach

The Offer The role offers a salary of up to $65,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, vacation entitlement, and a discretionary annual bonus.
