Energy Forge Electric is a locally owned electrical contractor serving Edmonton and the surrounding area. Our team is growing, and we're hiring a Lead Journeyman Electrician to run service calls and projects across residential, commercial and light industrial work, and to mentor our apprentice.

We serve homeowners, property managers and businesses in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert and Leduc, and we stand behind our work with a 2-year workmanship warranty. Our customers trust us in their homes, so we look for people who follow through and take pride in clean, professional work.

Responsibilities

- Lead residential service calls, including troubleshooting, panel changes, service upgrades, EV chargers and hot tubs
- Complete basement and legal suite rough-ins and finishes
- Install Generac standby generators and permanent LED roofline lighting
- Perform commercial and light industrial work, including tenant improvements, service calls for property managers, equipment hookups and site lighting
- Mentor and direct our apprentice on site
- Explain findings and options to customers clearly and professionally
- Document each job in Jobber with notes, photos and time

Qualifications

- Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certificate or Red Seal
- 2+ years of experience as a ticketed journeyperson, including running jobs independently
- Residential experience: service upgrades, panel changes, renovations or basements
- Commercial or industrial experience, such as tenant improvements, EMT or three-phase work
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Your own hand tools

Assets

- Service van experience and comfort presenting options and pricing to customers
- EV charger, generator or aluminum wiring remediation experience
- Low-voltage, data or camera cabling
- Fall protection or aerial work platform tickets, and comfort towing a trailer




- Experience mentoring apprentices

Your first year

- First 30 days: learn our systems and work alongside the team
- By 90 days: run service calls and smaller jobs independently, and help our apprentice grow
- Within a year: become a name our customers ask for, and be first in line to lead a crew as we add trucks
