Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, independent and energetic leader to oversee our welding operations, ensuring top-quality craftsmanship and safety standards. As a Lead Welder, you will coordinate welding activities, mentor team members with a solution focused and independent thinking mindset, while you ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a fabrication team in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Supervise and coordinate all welding activities across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety protocols
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes
- Perform welding techniques using mainly aluminum but some steel fabrication
- Operate equipment such as power tools, hand tools, and forklifts
- Oversee mechanical assembly, machining tasks, and the use of calipers for accurate measurements
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards through inspections using schematics, calipers, and other measurement tools




- Collaborate with team members on project planning, troubleshooting issues related to welding or fabrication processes

Skills

- Extensive 5 years experience in welding techniques
- Ability to demonstrate leadership in a relaxed yet firm manner, be solution focused, show consistent initiative, present as an independent thinker while also welcoming employees independent ideas.
- Proficiency with plasma cutting, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
- Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Skilled in assembly processes, and ductwork fabrication
- Mechanical knowledge combined with construction experience for versatile project support
- Familiarity with forklift operation for material handling and site logistics
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
