We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Optician to join our dynamic optical team. Duties

- Assist customers in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses that suit their prescription, style, and lifestyle preferences
- Measure and verify optical prescriptions accurately using specialized equipment
- Fit, adjust, and repair eyewear to ensure optimal comfort and functionality
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear maintenance
- Process optical orders efficiently using electronic health record systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Maintain detailed records of patient prescriptions, transactions,



and lab work in compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery

Qualifications

- Valid state licensure as an Optician or equivalent certification demonstrating compliance with industry standards
- Proven experience in optical retail sales or laboratory work within an optical setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and vision correction
- Familiarity with laboratory processes involved in lens fabrication and adjustments
- Experience working with retail management systems and electronic health records like Epic is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to educate customers effectively and provide outstanding service
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
