Group Insurance, discounted food POSITION: Maintenance TECHNICIAN-1 FULL Time Position

REPORTING TO: Chief Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

completes preventative maintenance of the guest rooms

Complete work order requests in a timely manner

Communicates with the management team and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.

Fully prepared for fire alarm procedures and other safety requirements

Familiar with the control of the supply of water, electricity and gas in an emergency situation

Dry wall repair, painting, caulking installation completes preventative maintenance of the guest rooms

Troubleshoot and performs general minor repairs to in-house plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and kitchen equipment

Troubleshoot, perform basic repair and replace when necessary appliances in guest room

Maintain and clean SPA and Resistance pool

Reports and logs work completed daily

Ensures compliance under the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations

Executes special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager

Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all guests, owners and tenants.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience in preventative maintenance,



dry wall repair, painting, electrical, plumbing and fire safety

Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Recognized team player and a self starter with strong organizational skills

Positive and effective communicator. Customer Service focus.

Appropriate Health & Safety precautions and procedures.

Detail and deadline driven

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education with trade school acknowledgments

3-5 years experience in a maintenance role and understanding of the maintenance process

Hotel experience an asset

WORK WORKPLACE:

- Long periods of time are spent walking and standing; limited periods of sitting
- Periods of demanding deadlines.
- Requires bending, squatting & reaching.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, pull and push.

RATE: $31.01/ hr (Starting Rate), $32.01/ hr (After successful completion of probationary period) HOURS: must be available on weekends and holidays
