Booming Capital Trading Floor is Edmonton's premier professional trading facility — home to a growing community of serious traders operating out of our dedicated trading floor at 12315 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB. We're part of the BoomingFX ecosystem, Edmonton's largest trading education platform with 120 active students, a 5-star reputation, and over 7 years of industry experience.

We teach forex, commodities, and crypto through real mentorship, not theory. We've built something real here — a functioning trading floor with live sessions, real people, and a culture worth capturing. Now we need someone to capture it.

ROLE SUMMARY

Part-Time | $20.00/hour | Edmonton, AB | In-Person Only Schedule: 3 days/week, 3 hours/session (9 hours/week) Bonus: Quarterly performance-based bonus tied to content results

We're building a Social Media Growth Division and we need a content creator who can film what's happening on the floor and turn it into content people actually watch. You'll be on-site at our trading floor filming real traders, real conversations, and real moments — then editing and publishing daily across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

This isn't a corporate video role. This is street-level content creation in a genuinely unique environment. If you're the type who sees a compelling moment and already knows what the hook is, this role is for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Film daily on-site at the Booming Capital Trading Floor — trader interviews, B-roll of the environment, behind-the-scenes content
- Edit and publish a minimum of 3 short-form reels per working day across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels
- Produce vertical 9:16 content with strong hooks in the first 2–3 seconds, captions, and text overlays
- Research trending short-form formats weekly and maintain a content idea bank
- Attend floor briefings to identify organic content opportunities




- Cover trading floor events — networking nights, milestones, special sessions — and deliver highlight reels within 24–48 hours

Content types you'll produce:
- Trader interviews (daily, unscripted)
- Educational tip clips (15–30 seconds)
- Floor atmosphere and B-roll
- Event highlight reels
- Student journey stories
- Behind-the-scenes moments

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

- Hands-on experience creating short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts
- Proficient in mobile or qualified video editing — CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
- Self-motivated, shows up consistently, and meets deadlines without being chased
- A creative eye for authentic storytelling — you know the difference between content that performs and content that just exists
- Comfortable filming in a real, active trading environment
- Understanding of social media algorithms and trending formats is a strong plus
- No finance background required — we'll give you all the context you need

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY

This role has a clear path for the right person:

Phase 1 (0–3 months): Learn the brand voice, build your production rhythm, establish a daily content pipeline.

Phase 2 (3–6 months): Own the content calendar and earn your first quarterly performance bonus.

Phase 3 (6–12 months): Manage the full content pipeline and develop original series concepts.

Phase 4 (12 months): Full-time Media Lead — full salary, expanded creative scope, and a senior role on the team.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
