Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations in a rapid-paced medical office environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently. Experience in a dental office setting is a plus.

Duties

- Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the front desk.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate information is collected.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Handle phone systems efficiently, answering calls promptly and addressing patient inquiries.
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy,
- Process patient insurance information and verify eligibility.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.




- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient needs and appointment changes.
- Understand and utilize medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within the office.

Experience

- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (EMR)
- Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology is beneficial.
- Ability to thrive in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion towards patients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
