ABOUT THE ROLE:

BGSA Diagnostic Imaging Centre is seeking a warm, organized, and dependable Technologist Assistant to join our General Radiography Team in Medicine Hat in a Full-Time role. The Technologist Assistant helps keep the patient day running smoothly. You will provide hands-on support to our technologists and clinical staff, from welcoming patients and preparing examination rooms to keeping supplies stocked and requisitions organized. As operational needs arise,



you may also support other imaging modalities and departments across the clinic.

This position involves 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, within our clinic hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENT FOR INTERESTED APPLICANTS:

· Welcome patients warmly, escort them to change and examination rooms, and communicate clearly about wait times and clinic processes.

· Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy, and chaperone examinations as required.

· Prepare, clean, and restock examination rooms and supplies in accordance with infection prevention and control (IPAC) standards.

· Support technologists and clinical staff with room set-up, positioning aids, and patient transport.

· Assist with administrative tasks, including classifying faxed requisitions, distributing reports, and fax management.

· Support other imaging modalities and departments as operationally required.

· Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with FOIP, the Health Information Act (HIA), and BGSA policies.

· Alberta High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, and completion of a Medical Terminology course.

· Healthcare or medical office experience, and familiarity with Netcare, RIS, or EMR systems, is an asset but not required.





· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) – Healthcare Provider certification is an asset.

· Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search required prior to employment.
