Summary The Accessibility Advisory Committee plays a vital role in ensuring that municipal programs, services, and infrastructure are inclusive and accessible to all residents, particularly those with disabilities. The committee helps guide The Nation Municipality toward a barrier-free community, in compliance with legislative requirements and in the spirit of equity and inclusion.

The Accessibility Advisory Committee provides advice to Council on how to meet and apply accessibility standards in the community. This includes helping with accessibility planning, reviewing accessibility reports, and offering guidance on any other accessibility matters that Council requests.

- Minimum of two (2) meetings per year

Eligibility

- Members shall be persons with disabilities. This may include individuals with visual, auditory, mobility, cognitive, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities, as well as those with environmental sensitivities.
