Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) Data Architect to design, develop, and govern enterprise data architecture supporting D365 F&O; implementations, integrations, migrations, and analytics initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in D365 F&O; data architecture, data migration, integration, data modeling, master data management, and Azure data services . The candidate will work closely with functional teams, solution architects, technical teams, business stakeholders, and data engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and implement the overall data architecture strategy for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O; .
- Design data models, data structures, data flows, and integration architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Lead D365 F&O; data migration strategy, planning, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Design and govern Master Data Management (MDM) and reference data strategies.
- Define data standards, governance policies, ownership, quality rules, and data lifecycle management.
- Work with functional teams across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, and related D365 modules .
- Design integrations between D365 F&O; and external applications using appropriate integration patterns and technologies.
- Provide architectural guidance for Data Entities, OData, REST APIs, DMF, BYOD, Dual-write, and batch/data integration frameworks .
- Design solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure data services where appropriate.




- Collaborate with data engineering teams on enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Define data transformation and ETL/ELT strategies for legacy-to-D365 migrations.
- Ensure data solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security, availability, and compliance .
- Establish data quality frameworks and develop processes for profiling, validation, reconciliation, and exception management.
- Analyze existing legacy data structures and develop source-to-target mapping specifications.
- Support technical design reviews, architecture reviews, and solution governance.
- Identify data-related risks, dependencies, and technical gaps and provide appropriate remediation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineers, developers, and implementation teams.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, data models, mapping documents, technical specifications, and governance documentation.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) .
- Strong understanding of D365 F&O; data architecture and data models .
- Extensive experience with D365 Data Management Framework (DMF) and Data Entities.
- Experience with D365 F&O; data migration and conversion projects .
- Strong knowledge of OData, REST APIs, batch processing, and D365 integration patterns .
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and/or other Azure data integration technologies.




- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics , or similar Azure data platforms.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data transformation, data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation .
- Experience designing Master Data Management and data governance solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data modeling and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with data warehousing and reporting/analytics architectures.
- Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI is preferred.

D365 F&O; Functional Knowledge Strong understanding of data requirements across one or more of the following:

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise applications, or ERP data solutions.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O; in enterprise implementations.
- Experience leading large-scale D365 F&O; data migration/integration initiatives .

- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate
- Microsoft Azure Data Engineer / Azure Solutions Architect certification
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications
- Relevant data architecture or data governance certifications
