Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established clients' recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers, maintaining a positive and engaging attitude.
- Handle food with care, following all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure proper food handling practices.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment throughout each shift to uphold food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experience across multiple locations.
- Follow all health regulations and safety procedures diligently to ensure a secure environment for both staff and customers.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong foundation in meal preparation.
- Skilled in cooking techniques, food handling, and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different settings while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks in fast-paced environments.
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in restaurants, food fast, community events
- Ability to cook different meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Must provide police information check, and vulnerable sector check
- Must have a vehicle and class 5 driver license
- Food handling and health permit would be an asset.
- Must be wliing to driver from house to house and in all weather conditions
