Multiple Shift starts at
11pm to 7am
And 4pm to 11pm
These are all mobile position consisting of attending numerous buildings to door pull and ensure the establishments are locked up and the area has no suspicious activity or crime in progress. Additional walking is required throughout Parks Areas; locking up public washrooms, facilities and professionally interacting with general public.
We will supply the candidate with a patrol vehicle where we take pride in cleanliness and respect for the others using it, smart devices to document patrol times, detailed observations and incident reports. We have our on call phone in which the employee will be responsible for answering and responding to Alarm Events and Emergency situations after business hours.
We supply uniforms, the use of a M6 safety device and other various tools to be successful within our team.
APPLICANT must be
Over 25 years old to comply to our Commercial Vehicle Insurance Policy
Hold a valid ALBERTA ISSUED SECURITY GUARD LICENSE
Physically able to execute walking duties
Time management and planning skills
Professional and have some experience with de-escalation techniques
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and assets.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the security of the premises
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
- Conduct regular inspections to prevent unauthorized activities or violations of company policies
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional manner
- Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious behavior or potential security threats
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
