Overview

Fullbright Montessori Academy is looking for caring, responsible, and enthusiastic educators to join our growing team. We are currently recruiting educators and child care staff for our Montessori child care program. We are also building a team of talented educators who may contribute to our upcoming After-School Care & Enrichment Program.

We welcome candidates who enjoy working with children and who can bring additional talents in areas such as music, arts, dance, languages, or academic enrichment.

Responsibilities

· Support the daily operation of a Montessori child care classroom.

· Provide a safe, nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment for children.

· Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

· Assist with Montessori activities, classroom routines, and prepared-environment practices.

· Prepare and maintain an organized and inviting learning environment.

· Observe children and support their individual developmental needs.

· Work collaboratively with the Supervisor, Head of School, and other educators.

· Communicate professionally with children, families, and colleagues.

· Follow centre policies, health and safety procedures, and Ontario child care licensing requirements.

· Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.

Additional opportunity: Candidates with additional teaching talents may also have opportunities to participate in our After-School Care & Enrichment Program.

Preferred Qualifications

· Montessori Certificate or Montessori classroom experience — preferred.

· RECE / Early Childhood Education background — preferred.

· Experience working in a licensed child care centre, Montessori school, preschool, or elementary setting.

· Experience working with toddler, preschool, Casa, or school-age children.

· First Aid & CPR certification.

· Vulnerable Sector Check.

· Strong communication, reliability, professionalism, and teamwork skills.

Montessori training is preferred but not required for all positions. Candidates with strong child care experience, educational backgrounds, or special teaching talents are also encouraged to apply.

About Fullbright

Fullbright has been serving students and families in Ontario since 2012. As we expand our educational programs in the Niagara Region, Fullbright Montessori Academy is building a nurturing Montessori environment for young children while developing additional educational opportunities for school-age children through after-school care and enrichment programming. We believe education should support the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
