The roleTired of chasing your own leads and wondering when the next commission cheque will land? Here you get warm leads handed to you directly by the Principals of every Strata division, plus built-in referrals, and you can still grow your own network on top of that.

You will own each file from first contact through to conditional approval. That means assessing the client's needs, matching them with the right product and lender, submitting the file and negotiating rates and terms on their behalf. Our admin and Fulfillment Specialist team then takes over and supports you all the way to closing, so nothing falls through the cracks.

What you will do

- Follow up quickly with warm leads and help them obtain financing
- Meet with clients to understand their goals and recommend the right mortgage solution
- Gather initial documentation, underwrite the file to lender guidelines and submit it
- Manage a high volume of active files and make sure each one closes on time
- Understand the levels of risk attached to each mortgage and follow underwriting procedures
- Build a referral network of realtors, financial advisors and other partners
- Hand off smoothly to the Fulfillment team once a file is conditionally approved
- Maintain client relationships to earn repeat and referral business, and flag future lending opportunities
- Keep detailed notes and meet FSRA and lender compliance requirements on every file
- Stay current with industry changes and suggest workflow improvements
- Take on special projects and other duties as assigned

What you bring

- An active Level 2 Mortgage Agent or Broker licence in positive standing with FSRA
- 2 to 3 years of mortgage or underwriting experience, or a proven sales record in financial services




- Strong written and verbal communication and excellent client service
- Sharp attention to detail and strong math and analytical skills for comparing products, rates and terms
- Comfort with Google Workspace, AI and other tech platforms
- Resilience, coachability and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the team
- Discretion and integrity with sensitive client and financial information
- A lifelong commitment to learning
- Consent to a criminal record and consumer history check
