About Boboto Care

Boboto Care is a rapidly growing multidisciplinary perinatal care collective supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum and the early months of parenthood.

Our team includes birth and postpartum doulas, nurses, newborn care specialists, lactation professionals, social workers and other maternal-child health professionals. We provide thoughtful, evidence-informed and culturally responsive care while respecting each family's individual choices, traditions and goals.

As our client inquiries and demand continue to grow, we are expanding the range of professionals available within our collective.

We are currently looking for a Naturopathic Doctor who is also trained and experienced as a Birth and Postpartum Doula to join our team.

We do not currently have a Naturopathic Doctor within the Boboto Care Collective. The practitioner joining us in this role will therefore have a unique opportunity to become a key naturopathic resource within our growing network.

As inquiries for naturopathic and holistic pregnancy and postpartum support arise, we intend to prioritize referrals and opportunities to this practitioner, based on client needs, location, availability and scope of practice.

About the Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a Naturopathic Doctor who is passionate about pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery and whole-family wellness and who would like to grow alongside an expanding perinatal care organization.

Depending on your training, availability and scope of practice, you may provide:

- Birth doula support during labour and delivery
- Prenatal education and birth preparation
- Postpartum doula support in clients' homes
- Emotional, educational and practical support during the transition to parenthood
- Evidence-informed education around postpartum recovery, nutrition and wellness
- Breastfeeding and infant-feeding support within your training and scope
- Newborn care education and hands-on family support
- Cooperative support alongside doulas, nurses, lactation professionals and other members of the Boboto Care team
- Referrals to appropriate healthcare providers when needs fall outside your scope
- Workshops, prenatal classes and community education opportunities




- Naturopathic consultations for Boboto families where appropriate and within your professional scope

We are especially interested in practitioners who understand how to balance holistic care with evidence-based practice and collaborative relationships with physicians, midwives, nurses and allied health professionals.

Boboto Care is growing quickly, and the number of families reaching out to us for pregnancy, postpartum, newborn and extended family support continues to increase.

As our first Naturopathic Doctor, you would have the opportunity to help us develop this area of care within the collective.

When families are seeking naturopathic support during pregnancy or postpartum, we want to be able to refer them to a trusted professional already connected to our team. We will prioritize our internal practitioner for suitable inquiries and opportunities whenever possible.

For the right practitioner, this is an opportunity to build relationships with families across the GTA while becoming part of an established multidisciplinary referral network.

Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is:

- A registered Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario in good standing
- Trained as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula or Full-Spectrum Doula
- Experienced supporting pregnant and postpartum families
- Warm, calm, professional and non-judgmental
- Comfortable working with families from diverse cultural, religious and family backgrounds
- Strong in informed consent and family-led care
- Able to clearly understand and maintain professional scope of practice
- Comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Interested in developing long-term relationships and referral pathways within a growing collective
- Reliable and responsive with excellent communication skills
- Able to travel to clients throughout Toronto and/or the GTA

- Fertility and preconception care
- Pregnancy and postpartum nutrition
- Lactation and infant feeding
- Pelvic health

Requirements
- Current registration and good standing as a Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario
- Birth and/or postpartum doula training
- Infant and adult CPR/First Aid certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Professional liability insurance appropriate to the services you provide
- Reliable transportation or ability to travel to client homes
- Strong professional references
- Availability for some evenings, weekends and/or on-call birth support depending on services offered

Compensation This is an independent contractor position. Compensation varies depending on the type of service provided, experience, credentials and assignment.
