The Opportunity

Houston, TX • 6–8 Month Contract • Hybrid (4 Days In office / 1 Remote) • Extension Potential An established organization in the energy sector is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to develop, enhance and support critical enterprise applications and integrations. You’ll work with PowerBuilder, .NET, APIs, SQL Server and web technologies while partnering with business and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions. Oil & Gas experience is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

- Develop, enhance and support critical commercial applications and integrations.
- Design and develop database-driven enterprise business applications.
- Build and maintain solutions using PowerBuilder and Microsoft .NET.
- Develop APIs and integrations across multiple platforms and business systems.
- Troubleshoot complex applications to improve stability, scalability and performance.
- Participate in application architecture, technical design and solution reviews.
- Translate commercial and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Support application testing, deployment, production support and optimization.
- Manage and contribute to PowerBuilder and .NET build and release processes.
- Improve application reliability, performance and user experience.
- Support Oil & Gas commercial processes and related business applications.
- Work with Oil & Gas data across trade capture, validation and downstream integration.
- Support volumetric scheduling and related transmission or energy business data.
- Provide technical guidance and lead discussions with business and technical teams.




- Drive continuous improvement across development, deployment and support practices.

What We Are Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience with PowerBuilder and Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Strong experience with APIs, Microsoft SQL Server and web technologies.
- 5+ years of software development experience with enterprise applications.
- Experience developing, supporting and enhancing complex business applications.
- Experience with PowerBuilder and .NET build and release management.
- Strong understanding of custom database-driven application development.
- Experience designing and integrating solutions across multiple platforms.
- Oil & Gas or Energy industry experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas data lifecycle and commercial operations.
- Experience with trade capture, validation, processing and downstream integration.
- Experience with volumetric scheduling and related Oil & Gas data is an asset.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and technical communication capabilities.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence solution decisions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic business environment.
