Night Auditor

Job Summary:

The Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent guest service during overnight hours while ensuring the accuracy of daily financial transactions and completing end-of-day hotel operations. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently overnight while maintaining guest satisfaction and hotel security.

Key Responsibilities:

Night Audit Duties:

- Complete the daily end-of-day process in Opera Cloud PMS.
- Balance and reconcile daily guest and non-guest accounts.
- Verify the accuracy of room charges, payments, credit card transactions, and account postings.
- Prepare and distribute end-of-day financial and operational reports.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in daily financial records.
- Ensure all financial transactions and reports comply with company standards and accounting procedures.
- Review reservations, room rates, and guest accounts for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required audit documentation.

Overnight Guest Services:

- Welcome guests and assist with late-night check-ins and early-morning check-outs.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Process reservations, room assignments, payments,



and other front desk transactions as needed.
- Monitor hotel activity and help maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests.
- Communicate important guest issues, maintenance concerns, and operational updates to the appropriate team members.
- Ensure the front desk and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
- Complete shift handover notes and communicate relevant information to the incoming team.

Qualifications:

- Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience is an asset.
- Experience with Opera Cloud PMS or similar property management systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight shifts.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to prepare and review financial reports.

Job Type: Full time Pay: From $20.83 per hour
