Position Summary:Orca Specialty Foods Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Night Shift Production Support Worker to assist with overnight operations at our fish processing and manufacturing facility in Surrey, BC.
The role involves working in a cold and wet fish-processing environment, assisting the existing night shift employee with preparing materials, equipment, and work areas for the following day's production operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the existing night shift employee with overnight production preparation activities.
- Prepare and organize materials, equipment, and work areas for the following day's operations.
- Move, arrange, and handle totes, materials, and supplies as required.
- Use manual pallet jacks to pull and move totes and materials safely.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks involving sitting, bending, lifting, and moving materials.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Follow company food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work in cold and wet conditions throughout the shift.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive sitting, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling activities.
- Comfortable using manual pallet jacks or willing to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working the scheduled overnight shift.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, or material handling is an asset.
- No specific educational credential required.
Terms of Employment: Work Location: Unit #4 – 17350 56 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3S 1C3
Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM (overnight)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
