Gitsegukla Elementary School is seeking an Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) Assistant and Cook Helper for a paid Skills Link mentored work placement.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

- First Nations youth aged 15 to 30 at the start of the placement, ordinarily resident on reserve, in a recognized community or on community lands.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada. Mentored placements are intended for youth who are not in school, unemployed or underemployed. Program eligibility will be verified before hiring.

- Willingness to learn and follow school procedures and safety instructions.
- Successful completion of school employment screening requirements, including any required criminal record check.





The successful applicant will build practical workplace skills while supporting school operations, with day-to-day guidance from the School Cook. This is a training prospect; previous experience is an asset but is not required.
